Product Introduction
This product is a ready-to-use, protein-free and serum-free cell cryopreservation medium suitable for the cryopreservation of most tumor cells and conventional cell lines, as well as selected stem cells (to be tested by the end user). Cells can be directly frozen at -80¡æ without a controlled-rate freezing container, and selected conventional tumor cell lines can be stored long-term (>5 years) at -80¡æ. The medium contains no animal-derived proteins or serum components, eliminating the risk of bacterial, viral, and mycoplasma contamination, thereby ensuring the safety of cryopreserved cells. Its formulation includes DMSO, glucose, and other cell nutrients that enhance cell viability and recovery post-thaw. This medium is also suitable for the cryopreservation of cells cultured under serum-free conditions and protein-expressing cells.

Protocol (For Reference Only)
Important: For stem cells or DMSO-sensitive cells, perform a pilot cryopreservation test for at least 1 week before formal cryopreservation.
Cell Freezing Protocol:
1. Harvest log-phase adherent or suspension cells using conventional methods and count to determine the number of cells to be frozen.
2. Transfer the cells to a centrifuge tube and centrifuge at 1000 rpm for 5 minutes. Discard the supernatant and retain the cell pellet.
3. Add an appropriate volume of cryopreservation medium to the cell pellet to achieve a final cell concentration of 5¡Á10⁵ to 1¡Á10⁷ cells/mL. Gently mix to obtain a homogeneous cell suspension.
4. Dispense 1-1.5 mL of the cell suspension per cryovial.
5. Place the cryovials directly at -80¡æ for long-term storage.
Cell Thawing Protocol:
1. Remove the frozen cells from -80¡æ storage and immediately place in a 37¡æ water bath for rapid thawing with gentle agitation.
2. Once completely thawed, immediately add 1 mL of cell culture medium and mix gently.
3. Transfer the mixture to a centrifuge tube containing approximately 5 mL of culture medium. Centrifuge at 1000 rpm for 5 minutes, discard the supernatant, and retain the cell pellet.
4. Add an appropriate volume of fresh culture medium, gently resuspend, and transfer to a culture vessel. After confirming normal cell morphology, proceed with routine culture.
Precautions
1. This product is for scientific research use only and is not intended for clinical diagnosis or treatment.
2. After adding cryopreservation medium and aliquoting, minimize the time cells spend at room temperature and transfer to -80¡æ as quickly as possible.
3. For cryopreservation of stem cells (e.g., ES cells), it is recommended to perform a pilot cryopreservation test for at least 1 week before formal cryopreservation to confirm performance.
4. This product contains 10% DMSO. For DMSO-sensitive cells, perform a pilot cryopreservation test for at least 1 week before formal use.
5. During thawing, immediately place frozen cells in a 37¡æ water bath with gentle agitation. Rapid thawing improves recovery efficiency.
6. For fragile or valuable cells, it is recommended to transfer cells to liquid nitrogen for long-term storage after overnight storage at -80¡æ.
7. Commercial rapid cryopreservation media have inherent limitations and may not be suitable for all cell types. Always perform a pilot test (freeze a small aliquot, thaw after 3-7 days, and confirm acceptable recovery) before applying to critical samples.
